Unveiling a Bright Future
NOMC is proud to announce the completion and grand opening of the new two story expansion. The completion of this expansion adds an additional 40,000 sq. feet on to the existing hospital campus. The first floor will be a 16 bed ICU and on the second floor will be a 28 bed Step-down unit. This expansion takes our current ICU from 6 beds to 16 with the rooms being 30% larger. The Step-down unit will take the place of what is currently the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and all 28 rooms will be private with private bathrooms. The unit will be secured with locked entrances that will require a badge or button push through located on the unit. This is to ensure the safety of our patients and their guests at all times. All the rooms on both the first and second floor come with new beds and equipment. The expansion not only adds bigger patient rooms but also allows NOMC to offer most of our rooms as private on all of our current inpatient floors. The new expansion also includes 142 additional parking spaces that will better accommodate our patients and their visitors.
The $22 million two story expansion of NOMC took less than a year to complete with the original groundbreaking taking place in February of 2010. This is an exciting time of change and growth for our patients and the Crestview Community as we unveil a bright future with the grand opening of our two story expansion.
