If you're passionate about community service, care deeply for people and have time and energy, we'd love to have your help at North Okaloosa Medical Center. Volunteering opportunities are available in various departments throughout our hospital. Get in touch, and let's talk about how we can help each other.
Volunteers are asked to make a commitment of at least one year and complete a minimum of 100 hours. Volunteers can assist in a wide range of opportunities to help staff, patients and their families.
Please be advised that at this time we are limited in the days and times in the volunteer schedule. You may call 850-689-8409 to inquire about availability. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list you can do so at this time. Once a position is open, we will contact you. Please note that when your application is received it can take up to two to three months before you begin to volunteer. The application process includes interviews and screenings. Every volunteer will be trained for their area and on hospital policies. Positions are filled on a first come, first-served basis and as needed by the assigned areas. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We encourage you to think ahead and apply early.
Our volunteers are not able to shadow nurses, doctors and clinicians, take vital signs or observe procedures.
At this time, our hospital volunteer program is full. We are not currently accepting applications. Please check back for more information.
