North Okaloosa Medical Center Introduces Advanced Surgical Navigation Technology to Support Precision in Breast Surgery

CRESTVIEW, FL (11/2/26) - North Okaloosa Medical Center is expanding its surgical capabilities with the addition of advanced surgical navigation technology designed to help surgeons more precisely locate and remove targeted breast tissue during surgery.
The technology uses real-time, three dimensional navigation to help surgeons identify the location of a previously placed marker within the breast. By providing information about the marker’s depth, distance and direction, the system offers additional guidance during breast-conserving procedures, including lumpectomies.
With the addition of this advanced surgical navigation technology, North Okaloosa Medical Center is proud to be the only hospital in the Florida Panhandle to offer this innovative approach to breast surgery.
